SuggestMeYes is a new (still experimental) addon for FireFox that makes your searching experience better:
- It adds as-you-type search suggestions to any search box on any site you are going to search;

- It adds “Did you mean” search suggestions in case you mistype;
- In case you haven’t found anything, it offers to track the site updates to send you the alert once the word you searched will be mentioned (Note: I haven’t been using the addon long enough to actually test how reliable the alerts are).

The tool seems to run on the parent site technology Search Query Engine.
What I didn’t like:
- The database seems either small or irrelevant (I often get some really weird search suggestions);
- The tool often seems slow (you should wait a few seconds for the suggestion list to load).
In any case, that’s a great idea and they will improve soon. Besides, the alerting feature is something worth playing with.
The tool was reviewed under SEJ policy.
